Fundraising Update

Hello!
With just over 3 months to go until our expedition, our fundraising has been well under-way. Here’s a summary of some of our big events so far!
20th November, 2018 – Bake Sale
We had a successful day braving the cold and rain to sell delicious home baking to the staff and students of Glasgow Uni!
January 17th, 2019 – Pub Quiz
Our next big event was a pub quiz held in Coopers, Glasgow. The turnout was great, and we had a fun-filled night of quizzing, boozing and raising money!
February 7th, 2019 – The Big, Fat, Pre-Hive Ceilidh
We joined forces with the Exsoc Trinidad expedition to organise a very successful ceilidh! We had a live band courtesy of one of our members, a raffle, traditional dancing, as well as various games and stalls including a photo booth, home baking and snacks, and glitter face painting! Lots of alcohol was consumed and fun was had all round, with many of us heading to Hive afterwards to celebrate our success!
February 26th, 2019 – MarioKart Grand Prix
Our next event entailed hiring a lecture theatre, connecting a Wii console to a projector, then simply allowing attendees to relive their childhood! After a few warm-up rounds the tournament began, each round becoming more competitive than the last! Team leader Hannah was crowned champion – we promise the competition wasn’t rigged! The night was a big hit, with lots of requests for a second event... So keep an eye our Facebook page for details on events to come very soon….
